What Are You Excited About This Week? Plus, COTW!

The week looms before us -- Monday is going to be here before we know it.

Are you ready? (Have you applied the tips from "How I Learned To Stop Dreading The Week"?)

I'll be demonstrating at my very own booth in the Orlando Maker Faire next weekend, so for me this week will be a flurry of preparation in addition to my day job stuff.

It's going to be busy -- but really great.

It's going to require my old merchandising skills, since I'll have a 6-ft table to decorate and equip. My bottlejack press will take up a good chunk of space and I'm stamping bunting with handcut stamps. Fingers crossed it's going to be awesome. 

I'm also trying to incorporate a little creative time into my weekday evenings. The idea is that it will help me feel less stressed. We'll see how that goes, but it's something to look forward to as well.

While shopping for a table skirt, I found some fancy plastic forks at my local Party City. I've been eating at my desk a lot, working through lunch, which is a terrible habit. My goal is to take a break and enjoy my lunch even if I don't get to leave the building -- maybe these pretty little forks will serve as a nudge to slow down and treat myself well.

I'm looking forward to that, even though it's a process and I'm probably going to find myself skipping lunch to work on a spreadsheet more than once before I can learn a new habit.

The second COTW, from Robin, was actually nominated by Marci -- and when I scanned the comments for "5 THINGS I'VE LEARNED ABOUT LOOKING MY BEST SINCE CUTTING OFF A FOOT OF HAIR" I found that a lot of people seemed to have had the same experience.
